Kickstart Your Muse Workshop

Are you a writer who needs some help getting your writing going again? Or have you always longed to write because you know you have some stories in you–but didn’t know how to get started? Wherever you are on the writing journey, this is the workshop for you! All genres and topics welcome.

Writing is the easiest of the arts to get a start in, because most of us learn the basic tools (writing and grammar) during our school years. How do you go from knowing how to write to writing with ease, and completing stories or novels or plays or even poems?

We will go through some exercises and writing practices that will give you work to take home and edit — or expand. Plot your novel. Outline your story. Sketch out a poem or even conjure up some dialogue for a pivotal scene in your play. The possibilities are unlimited.

Instructor: Dr Kate Laity, author of How to Keep Writing with a Full Time Job as well as twenty novels, dozens of short stories, and many essays, plays, songs, and more, is eager to show you how much fun it is to write and how easy it can be to get past the hurdles too many put in front of their creativity. See her Udemy writing courses including the FREE course Write 4 a Day.
