Well, UConn Alumni Magazine recognizes it! Jim H. Smith’s profile concludes:
Author of dozens of papers about comics, former chair of the International Comic Arts Festival, a lecturer in frequent demand and host of a scholarly Web site, ComicsResearch.org., he is currently writing a guide to “essential graphic novels.” Kannenberg is, by general consensus, one of the world’s leading comics scholars, but he describes himself as “a guy who knows a lot about comics in general, and comics from around the world.”
What an awesome photo — I would have used it when he visited my class. I still might!Congrats, Gene!
Holy craniotomy, Gene! That’s a fabulous article. And I do like that photo. It’s more than just a photo…it’s like a tiny poster. Way to go!
That’s a way cool pix!! Elena is right…make it into a poster!!
Hey…I know him! I think if he comes to TrinoCon next year he should have a tent sign made with the quote about what a comics genius he is. *eg*
I think he ought to have a word balloon that follows him everywhere…
Congrats to Gene! I hope all is well with both of you.
