How Congress Wastes its Time

H. Res. 847: Mr. McNulty has already received a complaint from me. Sure, it’s just words with no legal effect, but rhetoric matters when it reinforces one narrowly intolerant point of view.

It can’t hurt to complain. I hate these resolutions. Right up there with Romney’s speech recently which implied that those with “incorrect” beliefs or non-beliefs have no place in this country. I never thought I would say it — but I long for the good old days when people fought for the division between church and state. Happy Winter!

Yeah, the typical knee-jerk responder — doesn’t matter what the issue is, just take the usual party-line. Like his knee-jerk support of this guy, poor victim of the liberals — oh, wait, he invented his enemies. Again. Typically, that blogger used the opportunity not to admit he made a stupid mistake, but to rail against the “liberal media.”
