All was in readiness for the folks to arrive — which is to say I spent most of Saturday afternoon making sure cobwebs would not surprise visitors (they appear so quickly) and persuading most of the arachnids to vacate the chicken house so we could use it as a ‘quiet’ place for people who wanted to be sure not to have any noise. The temple was quiet space too and got good use. Most of the chatting ended up being quiet, too. I was glad people were mindful of others. It all seemed to go very well. I will be emailing folks this week for feedback, so I can let you know in their words what they thought.

I found the Pan statue in a closet while I was looking for something to use as a ‘private’ sign for the office. He seemed to hit just the right jaunty note so I have decided he will be our guiding spirit of creativity. Looking forward to next month’s gathering (Sunday October 25).

As I told a few people on Sunday, I finally discovered the kind of party I am good at giving: everybody quietly entertains themselves and I don’t have to do much. 😉
