I have a piece in the latest American Museum of Paramusicology journal. I saw at the last minute Matt Marble’s call for pieces on the theme of blue and had just the thing. If you subscribe, you can get not only this journal but so much more:
The American Museum of Paramusicology (AMP) is home to a unique archive of audio recordings, musical scores, books, photos and ephemera pertaining to spiritual imagination and metaphysical tradition in American music history. Directed by Matt Marble, the AMP synthesizes a network of media which explores this history and archive as well as the living practices of contemporary artists. The podcast Secret Sound offers over 40 audio documentaries on visionary American musicians. The AMP Journal (“brilliant and humbling,” The Paris Review) offers curated writings, interviews, and exclusive archival content. While Buddhist Bubblegum (“groundbreaking work,” New York Times) and forthcoming books offer case studies and historical surveys through archival research. Consider becoming a subscriber today.
The blue mood extends: I’m sorry to report that Connor Henri Laity has died. He had been facing a number of challenges to his health, but he lived a long and happy life pampered by Robert and everyone who met him. He was such a sweetheart. And so elegant. We will all miss him.
