A slim doorway between Tattoos and The Devil’s Spoke lies the Institute Library, just off the green in New Haven. The closing even for FORECAST was a blast and a great chance to explore the library as well as get a good last look at the wonders of the exhibition. You can read about the history of the Institute here. A great chance to hang with Stephanie of course — and to catch up with Lys Guillorn whom I’ve not seen for far far too long (did we launch a new band? maybe we did, eh Stephanie?). Jen was there to read cards and we all had art in the show. It was a great chance to chat with other artists, hear some poetry, get divination done — and of course I gave a kind of lightning talk on the history of divination tools with an emphasis on cartomancy because that’s consuming me these days. But of course I had to mention haruspicy, too!

Much fun was had and it wasn’t that bad of a drive though I was getting a bit tired by the time I hit the Taconic. Fortunately, no deer bolting in front of me which was a mercy. Art and a library — what a great combination! I should turn that talk into the start of a course…hmmm…
