As part of History day at Claverack Library, the Dutch Reformed Church ran a tour through the cemetery. While I have lived in this area for some time now, I had never wandered through this place, though I drive by it so often I always think I should. While retaining the restrained, no-nonsense affect you should probably expect from these early Protestants.





I’m going to see if I can filter some of the images to more easily read the text on the worn stones. While many of the stones are quite plain, there are a few monuments with flair.








And as always, nature takes a hand in decorating the stones:
