I am pleased as punch (Punch?) to have a piece in this exhibition along with gal pal Stephanie AKA the QoE. Thanks to Lys Guillorn who put the exhibit together. Check it out virtually or drop by if you’re in Connecticut. Thanks Still River Editions!
WISH YOU WERE HERE
POSTCARD EXHIBITION
JUNE 13 – SEPTEMBER 25, 2020

“Wish You Were Here” is an exhibition of postcards featuring images submitted by 106 people from across Connecticut and around the United States. Gallery Director Lys Guillorn put out a call for submissions looking for “digital images you’ve taken during the COVID-19 pandemic—slices of daily life, art photographs, or photographs of artwork you’ve worked on or completed between March 1st and May 31st of 2020.” There are digital and alternative process photographs, paintings, prints, illustrations, drawings, and collages. The subject matter, tone, and style of the images reflect the varied experiences and creative impulses of the people who made them.
The images have also been printed on 4”x6” fine art paper and are hanging in The Gallery at Still River Editions from June 22nd through September 25th, 2020. At the end of the exhibition, the artist list will be randomized, and each artist will be mailed another artist’s postcard.
The physical gallery will be open to up to 2 people from the same household at a time from 8:30 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday beginning on Monday, June 22nd. Please call in advance of your visit (203) 791-1474 (even if from the parking lot); masks are required for entry. The exhibition is free.
