Conjuring the Spirit World #Salem

A quick jaunt to Salem to meet up with art partner in crime QoE AKA Stephanie just so we could see this exhibit: Conjuring the Spirit World: Art, Magic and Mediums. It was so much fun and if you have a chance to go, be sure to do so! We loved it and got so many new inspirations for our upcoming exhibition, too. Here’s a taste!

Art by Georgiana Houghton, Ethel Le Rossignol, Paulina Peavy, Joe Coleman and so much more. Fave films like Doctor Mabuse and Nightmare Alley pop up, too. I think I’m going to need the catalogue eventually. So much to see! But I can’t believe that Boston traffic has become even worse! It took forever to get back to NY. But it was worth it — not only to see this exhibit but to catch up with Stephanie. Haven’t been to Salem in ages.

Oh! There it is: took pictures out of order because sometime people were crowded around something. But here’s the plate for Freida Harris’ Hierophant card for the Thoth deck. I think the Warburg exhibit next year will have the originals out. I must figure out how to get there (perhaps find work… [laugh cry emoji]).
