As I work furiously away behind the scenes on both my forthcoming online course HOW TO KEEP WRITING WITH A FULL TIME JOB (ironically, finally have time to put it together because I do not) and on ARCANE ALCHEMY the forthcoming exhibit with the Queen of Everything AKA Stephanie Johnson, I have been assembling my short films for a reel, and I decided this one from a few years back needed some fussing and a new soundtrack (I made a lot of silent films).
Surrealist, even impresssionist, this is a short with an alchemical theme: as the Wikipedia tells us, ‘In alchemy, chalcanthum, also called chalcanth or calcanthum, was a term used for the compound blue vitriol (CuSO4), and the ink made from it.’ It came from a quick video where the light played in an interesting way.
Now with a soundtrack by Aural Lint, who I believe is made up from members of Higora and Low Vibrational Frequency. They will probably be on Bandcamp soon, though I don’t know if this track will be available. But it’s free on YT!
