It’s been a busy week: Friday the deep listening event. New events are always a challenge, but First Friday crowds made sure a few people wandered upstairs, and a few deliberately arrived. We had some fun thinking and talking about sound, listening and toning. I played my chimes and bowls, and we all played from the Big Box of Percussion (if you know, you know — many have enjoyed its delights).
Sunday was the Fortune Telling event at Ami’s Star + Splendor in conjunction with the Victorian Stroll through Troy (NY). We readers were kept busy most of the day, the few lulls offering a much needed opportunity to stretch and hydrate. It’s been quite some time since I have read so much and I was a bit anxious that I would feel overwhelmed, but I had a great time and people seemed to really enjoy the readings and find them useful. Resetting your assumptions is always worthwhile. A day in such good company is always restorative. Jen, Ami, Otter, Kylie and Vesta, too, helped make the day joyful and interesting. And the shop is full of wonders.
I’m already scheduled to read Tarot at Create Gallery on the Solstice Night celebrations in Catskill. I think I may schedule some more reading opportunities very soon. An excuse to wear more hats!
