The Sun & The Moon: Saatchi

I am grateful to my partner in art crime, Stephanie, because she asked if I were going to this exhibit and I had not really considered it, but then here was another poster in the underground passage to the V&A as I was on my way to Schiaparelli (yes, soon…) and I thought huh, just around the corning in south Kensington (as I vaguely remembered). There turned out to be a lot more than I expected, so yay.

This is a walkthrough reel with sound by Aural Lint; it’s at Internet Archive where I have begun posting videos. Not entirely to replace YT (though with their latest shenanigans there’s little impetus to stay there) but it’s not as if I get much traffic there (or anywhere) so why not experiment. It feels better to be sharing with an organisation I support.

Anyway, here’s a link to the Saatchi’s own write up: The Sun and The Moon: Art Inspired by the Celestial is a major exhibition exploring how the two most powerful phenomena in the sky have inspired creativity, curiosity, and belief throughout human history and across different cultures. Occupying two floors of the Gallery and spanning nine major exhibition spaces, the show presents artworks, installations, and objects that reveal how artists have responded to the Sun and the Moon. The exhibition features the works by established artists, by emerging talent and archival material throughout.
