I headed up to the Berkshires on Friday to meet up with fab gal pal Stephanie to catch the Animal Mummies exhibit at the apparently newly-renovated Berkshire Museum. It seems like ages since I’ve been up that way but it’s always a lovely drive and not that far. Still haven’t made it to Edith Wharton’s house yet, though.
Short version (which is all you’re getting as I am sorting out all the things I need to do this week–eek!), it was much more than we had expected, so here’s a selection of photos to tempt you to go, too. Egyptomania continues to hold us moderns in thrall. Click on any photo to see it larger. Very difficult to take pix with all the shiny glass! A couple inadvertent if ghostly selfies.

Isn’t that mongoose the best? We had a nice wander around the rest of the museum, too, including a lovely Judith statue and a veiled marble statue that was just astonishing. It’s a small collection but some interesting pieces.
