Niki de Saint Phalle @ MoMA PS1

I headed down to the city to meet up with gal pal/fellow art crime shenanigator Stephanie QoE to catch the Niki de Saint Phalle exhibit at MoMA PS1, which I’d never been to before. Into the wilds of Queens we voyaged to Long Island City.

The fabulous QoE found us a good restaurant

I thought the exhibit would be fun, but I was unprepared for how amazing it was and how inspiring I found it, and just so exciting (even though it was airless and busy, though not really crowded–tolerable). Seeing photos really gives you no indication of the sheer *joy* of her work. I took a bajillion photos which you can see if you’re on FB. Here are a few to give you a feel for it.

If you can, go. It’s highly recommended, inexpensive, and there’s the terrific bookstore after you’ve seen the art. They’re taking orders for the tarot deck!
